Takashi Murakami is a contemporary Japanese artist who is mostly known for his sculptures and paintings. In 2003. Murakami created a sculpture called "Panda." It is made with acrylic on fiberglass with an antique Louis Vuitton trunk. This sculpture was a collaboration between Murakami and the handbag designer Louis Vuitton. The collaboration was based upon the production of goods that blurred the lines between commerce and art. Panda was the first of many art collaborations with the designer. It can also be seen on many logos, handbags, and is featured in many animated promotional videos. I like this because it is very colorful and unique.
