Takashi Murakami is a contemporary pop artist that is from Tokyo, Japan. Many of his sculptures are these bright cartoons with many colors and shapes. I chose this one, known as "Mr. Dob" because of the colors. I also like how he has detail all over this sculpture not just the outside. My favorite part of this cartoon sculpture is the mouth because of the jagged teeth and colors. More specifically, the back part of the mouth looks like a candy I grew up with called the "Jaw Breakers". Overall, this piece stands out because of how unordinary it is. Additionally, I enjoy the little baby that is on top of Mr. Dobs head.
