Maman is the largest in the series of spiders made by Louise Bourgeois. It is so big it can only be out doors or in a building of industrial scale. It is currently located in China. This sculpture contains an egg sac that is filled with 17 white and grey marble eggs. There are two legs of the spider that have a special emphasis on them, suggesting a human like figure.
