Louise Bourgeois -- Chateau la Coste Spider

Lousie was a french- American artist throughout the late 1900's. She began her spider sculptures when she was in her eighties. She saw spiders as both fierce and fragile, capable of being protectors as well as predators.  One of her "spider" sculptures, has been located on a vineyard in France. It is set in an infinity pool in front of a beautiful french backdrop. The pool reflects the long, and kinky legs of that support the spider's middle. I personally loved how this sculpture was incorporated into the inscape for a more natural feel.
