Louise Bourgeois
Louise Bourgeois was an artist who was best known for her large sculptures. She portrayed themes from her childhood into her work as an adult artist. She was most known for her sculptures that involved spiders. She incorporated spiders in many different ways. One of her pieces titled "The Nest" which was made in 1994 includes 5 different sized spiders. This was one of her earliest spider sculptures and was made when she was in her 80s. This pieces shows spiders clustered together in a nest, but the bodies of the spiders also look like beehives which are also a type of "nest". You can now find this sculpture in the San Francisco Museum on Modern Art.
