Li Hongbo wa born in 1974 in China. Hongbo works and lives in Hong Kong, China. He is mostly known for his paper sculptures. Many of his sculptures can expand and contract because it is made out of paper. I chose this picture because I thought it was beautiful with all the colors. It stood out compared to his white paper sculptures. It is crazy to think that he made this huge sculpture with tons of detail out of just paper. This sculpture is known as "Rainbow", makes sense because of the colors arranged on the ground. It was made in 2015 and located at the SCAD Museum of Art. The paper is actual made out of gun-shaped packs of paper that was stretched out to make these beautiful shapes. Hongbo made it out paper guns to reference gun violence.
