I chose the sculpture called "Give or Take". As seen the hands both are stemming from a forearm that is otherwise disembodied. I like how the one hand that represents giving is delicate, open, approachable, and soft. Meanwhile the hand that represents taking almost looked angry, closed off, and harsh. Louise always wanted her sculptures to represent an idea and bring her back to an emotion she wants had. She describes them as exorcisms not beauty. I like that this sculpture can represent two different types of people or qualities that one must possess both.
