Marc Quinn is an English artist who is best known for his sculptures, paintings, and installations. In 1988, Quinn made thus sculpture named Young Dancer Summer of Love, which is part of the movement of Contemporary Art. This sculpture is made of bread and is casted in bronze. Bread sculptures are made from varying degrees, themes of eating, survival and ritual that are combined in expressive, figurative sculptures. Bread symbolizes metamorphosis because the bread materially transforms with heat from the basic ingredients of flour, yeast, and water.
