Marc Quinn created Zombie boy in 2011 out of concrete. I chose this because I remember first seeing the real Zombie boy in a commercial for makeup coverage when I was young and always admired his individuality. Creating a tribute to Zombie Boy as Quinn put it, was to show the idea of how a person can become their own "mythological creature"(as Quinn stated he found incredibly interesting). Zombie Boy tragically died on August 1st, 2018 by accidentally falling from a third story balcony at the age of 32. He saw his body as a canvas and now thanks to Quinn, his legacy can forever live on.
