This sculpture is “Planet” by Marc Quinn it is located at
the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. This was a solo exhibition done in 2013
the work depicts Quinn’s son as a sleeping baby. I loved how it appears the
baby is hovering. When researching I learned that this is of Quinn’s first son
who had a severe milk allergy. This “Planet” sculpture was commissioned by
Chatsworth House and placed in the formal gardens. The work is 10 meters long
and almost 4 meters high. Overall I just liked how different this sculpture was
and how effortlessly it is floating.
